Weather Notice
In the event of snow or other incliment weather, saftey will be our first priority. Classes will continue even if school is cancelled if we are able, but we do not wish parents to risk coming to class if they are not comfortable driving.
We will not schedule make up classes due to weather unless students receive less than the minimum of classes per month due to cancellation. If you have any concern or are unsure if class has been cancelled, please contact a Coach.
Thank you and stay safe!
Gym Rules
1. Code of Conduct:
All students, families, and volunteers are expected to conduct themselves in an appropriate and respectful manner toward Sequim Acrobatics staff and other members. This includes and is not limited to: following saftey rules, respecting others' property/privacy, respecting others' personal space, being polite to members and coaches. Bullying or inappropriate/rude behaviour and comments toward staff or other members will not be tolerated.
2. Attendance/Late Rule:
Attendance is highly encouraged for all classes. Students will see the most benefits from consistent attendance. Students in a Performance Team are required to be at class if possible, outside of a specified circumstance, injury, or sickness. That being said, please do not send sick students to class. Students more than 10 minutes late may not be able to join class, depending on how disruptive it is. If you know your student will not be in attendance/will be late please contact their Coach beforehand.
3. Equipment:
Equipment is to be used with Coach direction and supervision ONLY. Students, student families, and visitors are not permitted to climb on, play with, lift, hang from, etc. any of the equipment listed: weightlifting corner (including pull up bar), punching bag, aerial silk, trampoline, aerial hoop. We ask that any adults present do not allow children to play with equipment they are not allowed to use.
4.Observation:
Parents and visitors are allowed to observe classes in the designated area in each studio. We ask that any observers are mindful of how much noise they make to avoid distraction. Observers are not allowed to participate in class, interrupt coaching during class, block entryway or exits/watch from anywhere other than designated observation area. Anyone who is disruptive may be asked to leave.
5. General Safety:
Many of the skills we teach are dangerous, however the bulk of accidents or injuries do not occur during class. We ask that students follow Coach directions when attempting skills to prevent injury from trying something too difficult. We also ask that students use good judgement when waiting for class (no standing on chairs, climbing lockers or guardrail, running on stairs, practicing upstairs, etc.) or when at home.
Payment Policy
Tuition rates are amortized over the ten month school year (September-June). Tuition rates are the same regardless of weeks, days, or classes in a month. Tuition is due the 20th of each month to reserve a place in the following month and will be posted on the 10th of each month to provide opportunity for early payment. We do not issue refunds if a student drops out part way through the month. We follow the school district calendar and do not guarantee make up classes will be available. Your child will be automatically enrolled each month. All members are required to give 30 days notice before tution is charged that he or she will not be returning. Joining a Performance Team is a season long commitment to be in our show. Members will be required to attend as committed for the full 10 month season, outside of emergency or otherwise specified circumstances. Failure to communicate or leaving a committed team part way through the year may mean a student is unable to return. A $25.00 late fee will be charged per child to all accounts not paid after the 5 day grace period. Class sizes are limited and your child's space will not be guaranteed if tuition is unpaid. By agreeing to this policy I give Sequim Acrobatics permission to charge me through the payment methods I provide.
