Beginning Classes

Performing Teams

Tiny Tumblers

Description:

A great place for Kindergarten and 1st graders to learn the basics of acrobatic gymnastics. We cover a variety of stretches, strength building exercises and rolls, before starting work on handstands and cartwheels. We teach many of the same skills learned in the older beginning classes to allow a smooth transition for students once they have aged out of our Kindergarten program.

Hours Per Week: 1

Tuition: $65/month

Homeschool Intro

Description:

This one day a week class is a wonderful starting place for  students available before public school gets out. We teach the foundations of acrobatics: terminology, basic skills and coordination, along with building the strength and flexibility needed for our bi-weekly classes. Please note: if your child is invited to join our Performance Program they will be required to switch to our after school hours.

Hours Per Week: 1

Tuition: $65/month

Intro to Acro

Description:

This introductory course is a good starting place for students with little to no experience in gymnastics or acrobatics. We teach the foundations of the sport including: terminology, basic skills, and build the strength and flexibility needed to participate in our bi-weekly classes.  In this class we cover variations of rolls and begin work on handstands and cartwheels.

Beginning Boys

Description:

Our boys program offers opportunities for boys at a variety of levels. Whether your child is just learning handstands and cartwheels, or is ready for more advanced skills, this class covers the strength and flexibility training needed to succeed.  In this class we also cover some introductory tricking and parkour. Boys who want to be in our Performance will learn progressions of skills needed to be moved into the Preteam Boys Class (see below for more info). We do not require any skills to register for this class, however students must be comfortable bearing their own weight on their arms.

Beginning 1 Girls

Description:

Beginning 1 students will work on cartwheels and handstands, along with learning new variations. We do not require that students have perfected these skills yet, only that they are comfortable bearing their own weight upside down or have at least attempted a cartwheel on their own. We also recommend a solid bridge. If you are unsure if your student is ready for this class, consider starting them in the Intro to Acro class first or contact one of our Coaches for their advice.

Hours Per Week: 2

Tuition: $125/month

Beginning 2 (Advanced)

Description:

Beginning Level 2 covers advanced variations of skills learned in the first beginning classes. We require strong bridges with legs up, cartwheels and handstands, along with being able to go back into a bridge from standing. We teach bridge kickovers, new handstand and cartwheel skills, and begin work on walkovers in this class, so prior experience is necessary. We even work on basic partner skills! Please do not register your student for this class if it has not be approved by a coach. If you have any further questions about requirements please don't hesitate to ask. If you think this class is the best fit for your student please contact us to schedule an evaluation appointment before enrolling them.

They must also be comfortable with regular front walkovers, switchleg, and have tried to split.  We prefer that any students moving into this class have been in Intermediate for at least one show, to ensure that they are comfortable on stage and understand the comitment to be in a more advanced class. In this class students will learn more difficult partner skills, and work on more advanced tumbling such as aerials and backhandsprings. Advanced Preteam students may also be invited to participate in extra routines with Team. Team Performance Group

Description:

Class will not be listed to enroll through Parent Portal, must contact and receive Coach approval to be enrolled.

Team is our highest performing level. There is a wide variation in personal and partner skill levels in this class, allowing for advanced routines. Team students are the most committed and are given more opportunities to perform and input in choreography. There are some skill requirements to be in this class, like excellent handstands/walkover skills and being able to do an aerial and/or backhandspring. However, excellent attendance, quality communication from student and family, and being a good partner/team member are a much bigger part of the decision process. Being in this class is a big time comitment. Team students will have extra practices earlier in the year than any other class. In Team we also help students to find their specialty: contortion, tumbling, handstand blocks, aerial apperatus, etc.
